The purpose of this release is to document the most recent source code as of Nov. 1, 2006. The CMC library is build on top of OpenSim. OpenSim (another project on Simtk.org) is an object-oriented framework for modeling, simulating, and analyzing the neuromusculoskeletal system. The CMC source code and documentation will soon (by Dec. 1, 2006) be bundled with OpenSim releases. Since CMC depends on OpenSim, the recommended pathway for getting access to the CMC functionality is to download it as part of OpenSim. Furthermore, this release of the CMC library is expected to be static (i.e., not changing in time). Once CMC is rolled into OpenSim, the CMC source code will evolve along with OpenSim project.
