Douglas is the son of Charles and Vicki Douglas of Hornbeak and is a member of Beta Club and National Honor Society. He was named a Kiwanis Club Student of the Month and has elevated the top 10 percent of his class academically. He has also won several awards for excellence in chapter e-newsletter at both the state and local levels of HOSA.

Miss Southerland is the daughter of Gary and Danah Southerland of Obion and has been in first place on her class academically. She has been a person in National Honor Society; Beta fitness center; spanish Club; HOSA, Which she served as parliamentarian and where she took part in the regional and state tournaments; CSA, Where she served as admin; FCA; and as well 4 H, Serving as 4 H Congress delegate and claiming second place in the regional speech contest. She has additionally been an OCCHS cheerleader as a freshman and a Kiwanis Club Student of the Month.

She has brought numerous academic awards, particularly Honors English I and II, Algebra I and additionally II, top ten Freshman Award, romance language I, chemical make up I and Top Ten Sophomore Award. She was a SCOPE delegate and a participant in the UTM Math Competition, As well as a nominee for the nation's Young Leaders Conference.

She has been a Top Ten academic student each year and is going after graduation as a Challenge Graduate and a Tennessee Scholar.

She was a Kiwanis Club Student of the Month and was also a member of the Obion County Youth Leadership class and was a of the week.

She claimed the French I award and is taking part in the Rising Senior Program at Union University in Jackson this summer.
