Since February 2010 I am a PhD student of Prof. Dr. Maass at the Institute for Theoretical Computer Science at Graz University of Technology. Our lab is investigating novel robotic learning algorithms as well as new computational models for brain computation using networks of spiking neurons. We are participants in several EU-projects like AMARSi, Brain-i-Nets, SECO, BrainScaleS, or FACETS-ITN. My main research focuses on developing novel reinforcement learning algorithms for motor planning using probabilistic inference. Probabilistic inference as computational principle is a very general framework and is also the theortical background for my studies in neuroscience where I am interested in biologically inspired motor planning algorithms. The interested reader can find more details in the research part of this page.
