This is a programming library for command line interfaces that supports history, completion, and editing. It is a liberal BSD licensed replacement for GPL licensed readline library. The official source of this library is the NetBSD project.

This library may be used to help avoid GPL license entanglements for applications that wish to provide a professional quality command-line interface.

Why fork this at SimTK? We probably want to build and test binaries of this for use in low-overhead installs of command-line utilities.
