Novacheck (1998) provides an excellent summary of run mechanics. Of interest is his phases of force absorption and deceleration and his out of phase stance reversal and swing reversal phases within the absorption and deceleration gait cycle. My current work has developed 2D kinematic measurement norms that I would like to see how they correspond from a model-based approach.
